Welcome to my art portfolio. I am a visual artist whose works span photography, charcoal, pastels, oil, watercolor, pen and ink, graphite, and sumi ink. I am particularly drawn to capturing the organic shapes and energy of public parks and gardens of the Pacific Northwest, in addition to human figures/portraits in dynamic settings.
I am a lifelong learner, having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas @Dallas and a Master of Library Science degree from Texas Woman's University. After working as a copywriter for organizations such as Getty Images, Nordstrom, and Microsoft, I worked as a librarian in the Seattle-area public library systems. I am now working with multilingual learners in an elementary school while continuing to pursue my education in art. I have learned from artists as a student at the Photographic Center Northwest (PCNW), Gage Academy of Art, North Seattle College, and the Seattle Artist League, as well as the Winslow Art Center and London Drawing Group. I have had my work exhibited at the Center of Contemporary Arts (CoCA), Los Angeles Center of Photography (LACP), Gage Academy of Art, and North Seattle College.
