Welcome to my art portfolio. I am a visual artist who works in charcoal, pastels, oil, watercolor, pen and ink, graphite, and sumi ink. I am particularly drawn to capturing the organic shapes and energy of public parks and gardens of the Pacific Northwest, in addition to human figures in dynamic settings.

I am a lifelong learner, having enjoyed a career in copywriting/editing, librarianship, and education, and I am continuing to pursue my education in art. I am currently working on a certificate in Fine Arts from North Seattle College, as well as a certificate in Natural Science Illustration from the Yale-Peabody Museum. I have learned from artists as a student at the Gage Academy of Art and the Seattle Artist League, as well as the Winslow Art Center and London Drawing Group. I am a member of the Puget Sound Group of Northwest Artists, the Pastel Society of the West Coast, and the Northwest Watercolor Society.
